About the Client
The client had started off as a retailer serving the local neighborhood in Curepipe almost 25 years ago. It gradually expanded to become a $ 10 Million dollars (MUR 300 million Rupee-turnovers) enterprise. Over the years, the company has expanded its activities to importing food whilst dealing with reputed international brands. These activities include frozen food distribution, food packaging, and bank fishing.
The client was earlier using ‘QuickBooks’ in Finance and ‘Cimsup’ for Inventory Management. However, the two software were working in silos. Some of their major concerns were duplicate data, manual reports, the discrepancy in reports, etc. Stock management was very difficult as the department-wise stock was taken on an ad hoc basis. As of now, they have a fleet of 15 delivery trucks which are used to deliver different products to supermarkets across the island. Once these delivery trucks were in the field there was no provision for tracking the time or the products. They will use a Tab-based VAN Sales App (in ebizframe) to capture filed sales.
