About the Contest
Eastern Software Systems (ESS) is organizing a presentation contest themed “How ERP has helped Organizations improve Manufacturing Processes & Efficiencies?”
Contestants can submit their presentation based on this topic for participation. The presentations will be hosted on ESS account on SlideShare (http://www.slideshare.net/ess_india).
Presentation Theme
Contestants can submit the presentation on the above topic based on their experiences in their specific businesses like Auto Ancillaries, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Distilleries, Electronics, Food Processing, Trading, Distribution, Garments, Textiles, Gems and Jewelry , Heavy Engineering, Leather , Milk Dairies, Mining, Packaging, Plastic Moulding, Printing, Publishing, Construction, Casting, Shipping and Aviation, Sugar, or any other industry.

Prize
- Selected presentations will be uploaded on ESS’s Slideshare account on 29 August 2011 by 2300 hours. The criteria for selection of the presentations for hosting on Slideshare will be decided by ESS. No queries in this regard shall be entertained.
- After uploading the presentations on Slideshare, ESS will e-mail the presentation link to contestants whose presentations are selected for uploading on Slideshare.
- The winner will be given a prize of INR 2500/-(Indian Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only) paid by a valid mode of payment.
- The presentation will be linked on our Website, Facebook / Twitter/ Linkedin account and promoted through various online channels. The Participants whose presentations are selected are likely to get wide publicity. Only contestants agreeing to this should apply for the contest.
Contest Procedure and Dates
- The contest will end on 08 September 2011 at 1200 Hours Indian Standard Time. The winner will be selected on a criteria set by ESS from the top three presentations based on the number of views. No queries will be entertained on the Selection Criteria of ESS.
- The number of views will be considered as available on the link: http://www.slideshare.net/ess_india and NOT on individual presentations.
- ESS will take a print screen of the page at 08 September 2011 at 1200 hours Indian Standard Time which will be the basis of counting the views. If Slideshare site is down at that time or if ESS faces any technical difficulty at that moment, the snapshot will be taken later at the first instance when ESS is able to take the Snapshot.
- Results will be informed individually to all the Participants whose presentations are selected for uploading in Slideshare. If any other Participant wants to know about the Winning Presentation, he/she may send us a query on e-mail.
- Winners will be sent the prize money by 14 September 2011.
Submission Procedure
- Contestants need to create a presentation with minimum 10 slides and should not exceed 5 MB in size.
- The last slide should have contestant’s name(Participants wanting to leave their contact numbers on the last slide can do so). Only individuals are allowed to enter the contest in an individual capacity. Organizations are not allowed to participate in the contest. Individuals submitting on Organization’s behalf will also not be entertained. Once we receive the Presentations, we will add one slide at the end with information about the contest and the Disclaimer.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the following declaration in their email text: “I declare that I am the creator and owner of this presentation. I permit ESS to upload this presentation on their Slideshare account for the contest. I abide by the terms and conditions of the contest held by ESS. I understand that the judgment of ESS on this Contest will be final and binding on me.”

Terms and Conditions
- This contest is organized by Eastern Software Systems and not by Slideshare. However, all SlideShare terms and conditions will apply.
- The decision of the winner will be taken by ESS on basis of the set criteria. The decision of ESS will be final and binding on all contestants. No claims will be entertained.
- The presentation should be unique and created by contestant himself/herself. Contestant need to provide ESS a written permission (as mentioned above in the Submission Procedure) to use the presentation on ESS’s Slideshare Account.
- The presentation must be based on the theme as mentioned and should not contain any negative /derogatory/ unprofessional information/ hate material. Such presentations would be summarily rejected by ESS. ESS reserves the right to deny entry to any presentation in the contest based on its content.
- ESS also reserves the right to continue or discontinue hosting the presentation on its Slideshare account at any stage.
- ESS reserves the right to cancel or discontinue the Contest or change the contest conditions at any stage. The Participants will be informed of any such change or cancellation
- The decision of ESS will be final and binding on all contestants and no direct/indirect claims or damages will be entertained in this regard.
